StageSafe provides independent engineering review focused exclusively on electrical shock risk in guitar and bass amplifier designs.
All engagements are project-based and defined per amplifier model or design under review.
1. Technical Safety Review
Comprehensive circuit-level analysis of an existing production model or a new amplifier design.
Evaluation includes:
• Grounding topology and reference architecture
• Leakage current path identification
• Protective earth strategy assessment
• Insulation and isolation review
• Fault-condition interaction analysis
• Steel-string exposure scenarios under abnormal conditions
Emphasis is placed on amplifier behavior outside nominal operation.
2. Design Improvement Report
Upon completion of the review, a structured engineering report is delivered including:
• Identified risk mechanisms
• Observed safety margins
• Circuit-level modification recommendations
• Technical rationale for each proposed change
Where appropriate, recommendations may include integration of proactive safety mechanisms, enabling amplifiers to actively detect and respond to hazardous conditions.
All implementation decisions remain entirely under manufacturer control.
3. Measurement Protocol & Reporting Framework
Each project includes a structured internal measurement framework, allowing the manufacturer to characterize leakage current behavior within their own laboratory environment.
Documentation includes:
• Step-by-step laboratory procedure
• Measurement recording sheets
• Parameter interpretation guidance
• Reference alignment with applicable safety standards
The objective is visibility into electrical behavior under defined fault conditions — not regulatory certification.
4. Optional Implementation Advisory
If requested, StageSafe may provide limited advisory support during:
• Design revision
• Prototype validation
• Post-modification reassessment
This phase is defined separately from the initial review project.
Engagement Structure
Each amplifier model is treated as an individual engineering project.
Scope, documentation requirements, and deliverables are defined prior to review initiation.
